Find 10 job advertisements for similar positions in California (all for litigation, probate, general law office, etc.) and copy the descriptions into a table or spreadsheet. Identify the skills that these positions require. Do you see similarities? Differences? Write a memorandum explaining your findings. In your memorandum, provide a general overview of what you found, list the skills that the positions require, and analyze your own skills—either learned in school, obtained in other work, or in combination—to show how you could do the jobs advertised. Last, identify areas where you could improve your knowledge or experience and try to identify one strategy for doing so.
