ED 200 Presentation Project

10-15 slides PowerPoint presentation and 1-page explanation of how your project ties in major concepts of social control from the course, examples, and your stance.

This project is an individual project that focuses on the social control that students experience in schools and the future role that you will play in educating students. Your goal is to define what social control looks like in schools, detail how students experience it (including how different students experience social control in various ways), and most importantly, present your overall perspective, analysis, and argument about social control in schools. How do you intend to address social control in schools as a future educator? Why do you feel this way? Why is your analysis and argument on this topic important? Think about this project in terms of school policy, practices, and equity. Be sure to integrate major concepts from the readings in your project. Your project must be10 -15 slides if you chose to do a PowerPoint presentation.

Your project can alternatively be done using other creative formats (e.g., infographic, podcast, comic strip, etc.) and must also include a 1-page explanation of how your project ties in major concepts of social control from the course, examples, and your stance.
