Choose one of the below films and, after watching it, respond to the following questions:
1.Briefly summarize the film, highlighting the theme(s) in the film that are germane to the current course.
2.How does the content in the film relate to what you’ve learned in this course? Does it confirm what you’ve learned? Does it contradict what you’ve learned? Make sure to explicitly tie the film content to the information covered in this course.
a.Note that for some films, you may need to read ahead in the textbook. For example, for 12th & Delaware, you should make sure to read the information on abortion in chapter 11; for Humpday, you should make sure to read the information on pornography in chapter 18. Note that these sections of the textbook are not that long.
3.What is your reaction to the film? For example, what surprised you? What was enlightening? What was troubling to you?
4.Conclude your paper by commenting on the broader social implications of the theme(s) covered in the film. What are some things we as a society can do to address the issues portrayed in the film?
You will need to use your textbook to write your paper, although you do not need to use any outside references. All definitions, terms, and information used from the text must be paraphrased in your own words. Copying text directly from the book is plagiarism. Plagiarism, as indicated in your syllabus, has serious consequences. Your paper should be between 3-4 pages double-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman font. Make sure you have an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Refer to the rubric for further instructions. Contact me if you have any questionsTIP: 3 pages minimum 4 maximum
